I didn't realize how much better I looked
Published on April 23, 2007 By Sugar High Elf In Diet

The first picture is from last September during our first cookout. I was holding a limbo pole. The second image is from the field day we had last week (April 19) I'm down about 30 pounds. I've still got a ways to go, but these pictures are encouraging. The double chin is gone, a large part of the "bulge" is gone from my belly... and look how much happier I look!

You look great, hon! Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I wish that second shirt wasn't so baggy... then ya'll could tell that I look that much better these days.

And I'm sure you feel a lot better too.

(I have GOT to start back my walking again!  )

You know something? I really do. At least, when my iron levels are up. I cut out the cheeseburgers to lose weight, but that cut out my red meat... oh, the irony.

Is it bad that I go around singing, "I feel pretty"? (I'm soooo kidding. Really. Joking)

Well Done.

You look beautiful, and you can definitely see the difference. You really slimmed down in the waist, hips, and tummy. Good job!

Wow, gorgeous SHE! And sexier too!

Wow! Very inspiring. Congrats and keep up the good work.

Seriously, though, I'm about 25 lbs. under my pre-pregnancy weight, but I don't really have any good before pics cause I insisted on face pics only at that time. Haha.

Poison5: I get a gold star? Sweet!

Tex: I actually have a waist now! It makes me very happy every time I see a waist line.

FS: Gorgeous and sexier? You're too kind.

Jill: Thanks.

LW: I feel like a hog sometimes. I cringe every time I see that first shot. They finally convinced me to take a picture this time around -- I usually avoid them like the plague. I'm glad I took it though, because it shows the change.

Tex: I love the look on your face in that first picture. It's like you're daring whoever is behind the camera to take the picture. And I see nothing wrong with the second picture either. Except, what is that on your shirt? It looks very strange. I know what you mean about the neck-up shots. Usually, all of my pictures look like this:

I agree with Zoo!

The second pic is actually me now (well, a couple of weeks ago). I'm showing off my Cheese t-shirt, which is my favorite shirt EVER. If you don't know who that is, you need to watch Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.

I definitely feel thinner than before (ha, obviously feel thinner than when I was 9 months preg -- that pic was taken when we went bowling on my due date), but I still have a long ways to go to actually be *thin*. It's depressing.

I love your face-covering pic. Cute!

You're such a doll, no matter what size! I told your brother that you and him both got really good genes!

Oh, my. I think ya'll are taking things a bit too far.

but I still have a long ways to go to actually be *thin*. It's depressing.

Hey, you're looking good. It's hard (believe me, I know) but it is possible. Depression will only make it harder. (I know that from experience as well)

I love your face-covering pic. Cute!

That picture was followed with a "If you take my picture one more time I'm going to take that camera and shove it down your throat." Not quite so cute then, I imagine. I hate having my picture taken, and they kept trying to sneak pictures. My poor staff has to put up with my anti-social ways...

You look good, SHE. Keep up the good work and stay happy no matter what.

Thanks! Staying happy is the key, I think. It's just so much easier to feel happy when I feel healthy.
