I didn't realize how much better I looked
Published on April 23, 2007 By Sugar High Elf In Diet

The first picture is from last September during our first cookout. I was holding a limbo pole. The second image is from the field day we had last week (April 19) I'm down about 30 pounds. I've still got a ways to go, but these pictures are encouraging. The double chin is gone, a large part of the "bulge" is gone from my belly... and look how much happier I look!

Oh, my. I think ya'll are taking things a bit too far.

Never, I think I am quite the connoisseur of women.

but I still have a long ways to go to actually be *thin*. It's depressing.

Christ, how thin do you want to be?...Lookin' pretty damn good in my not so humble opinion. Trust me, it's less attractive if it looks like a stiff wind could snap you in half...

I personally love my Jedi pose of the second photo. We were supposed to be Charlie's Angels... but my inner nerd came out and *tada* Jedi!

As is every Knight in Shining Armor.

You tell her Zoo. But I gotta warn you, she never wants to listen... (Are you listening now Tex? We all think you're beautiful!)

You're cute in both of them Sugar Elf,  I know you're feeling better about yourself so YEA!

This'll be great for your health,  and also your morale.  I don't know if it was down,  however it always feels good to have more energy,  and that feeling of looking your best.

P.S. Your hair looks cute on you down too.

Keep up the great work!

Okay, my take is you are a good-looking lady. You want to lose weight to make yourself feel better, go for it. But the best looking people in the world, IMHO, are the ones who exude confidence, who smile easily and frequently and who treat everyone around them as beautiful people.

As little as I know you, I get the impression from your blogs you are this type of person. More power to you, SHE.

Thanks. I think so too... occasionally.

I may come off better in writing than I do in person... but I'll try to live up to your compliments. I appreciate it.

I'm sorry, but that first picture is icky for soooo many reasons.

P.S. Your hair looks cute on you down too.

Thanks. I had just cut it (myself). I got tired of paying $20 for something I could do myself. I never can pull off a cute ponytail... I just don't take the time. But, when my hair is up, I probably don't care what I look like, so it's not a big deal at all.

Ay ay, Captain!

I thought the smile in the second one was because you were about to crown someone with the bat.

Lookin good!

Actually, it's a water gun. I got plenty of people with that water gun... good times, good times.

I'm glad you recognize how evil I am.
