Hobbits walk. Creepy villains. Ring Destroyed.

Boy wizard defeats evil through love.

Little person wizard saves Princess baby.

Kids travel across universes, meet Dust.

Earth destroyed, man left, don't panic.

My guesses:

LOTR.

Harry Potter.

Willow.

A Wrinkle in Time?

Hitchhiker's Guide.

It is possible that you haven't read the other two. I'll tell you this -- little person wizard saves Princess baby was also a popular movie (fantasy, obviously)

The other, kids travel across universes, meet Dust, will soon be a movie (also fantasy) though there has been some controversy about it.

Good luck!

SHE,

I think San Chonino has given them away. I've heard about the movie 'Wrinkle In Time' and remember something about 'Willow' from years ago. I've not read either story, though.

Willow was a great movie, I highly recommend if you enjoy fantasy...sorry, preferred to watch movie, didn't read the book! I've also heard about Wrinkle in Time, I thought it was already out?

The author's initials are P.P.

The controversy about the movies: Some people were upset that the movie makers were going to leave the God character out.

Piper Perabo wrote a fantasy novel? I never knew!

Sorry San, try again!

hmm...my 15-year-old son reads Philip Pullman...

I wish I had a prize for you, for Philip Pullman it is! His Dark Materials -- I would recommend it to you all.

The series is in the house. Now I think I'll read it!

You should. Of course, I'm of the opinion that everyone should read most fantasy books (there are some that are garbage) ... so it is possible that I am not to be trusted. I think, however, you could find it interesting.
