Finding Love... Online?

Since writing Part II, things have changed. While Zach and I have had some communication over MySpace and Facebook, we have not spoken on the phone. We have not talked about getting together again. I wonder if he's changed his mind since it looks like I might be moving 10 hours away... Kinda sad because I like the guy, but I'm not broken up about it. I'm neither giving up hope, or getting my hopes up. I'm also not making first contact again. He still has time to call -- it's only Wednesday, after all. But, if he doesn't, I'm sure I'll meet someone else.

Queen of the Klutz People:

I'm not sure how I managed it, but I hurt myself again -- this time in BED! I managed to pull a muscle in my neck down into my shoulder. Several painkillers later, I could finally breathe without pain. It still twinges a bit, but there isn't constant pain anymore.

How do you train a Shitzu:

No one called me on it, but I apologize for spelling it Shitzu. It should be Shih Tzu. Sorry. He's going to try the paper thing, hoping it will work. I also told him to look up crate training. Thanks for your help.

And now, for the random stuff:

I had a paper accepted to present at a conference. It is supposed to be a graduate level conference, but I was accepted anyway! I'm very excited (and a bit nervous). I'm going to be presenting my thesis, but it won't be as easy this time. These are all English majors, and they may not appreciate the academic worthiness of the subject.

The two girls I gave recommendations to for RA jobs next year were both hired, as was the male student I recommended. I'm very happy for all of them, and I hope they have a better time of it than I have had.

Speaking of which: Someone has had it out for me all year. Things of mine have been stolen or vandalized. Now, someone has been nice enough to write "Jai Sucks" (Jai is the nickname I go by here) on the wall in ink pen. Of course, they didn't write it by anything of mine, or even the floor I live on. I was very tempted to write a note saying, "I lick and nibble too, what's your point?" or "I'm pretty good at it to, what's your point?" However, I don't want my boss' boss to find out because I'm sure I'd get in trouble for it. I've decided, instead, to just ignore it.

I have to go interview some graduate student candidates now. Just thought I would write a little something to catch you all up... because I know how wrapped up you all are in my life. heehee

Usually we say "I should have stayed in bed!". It looks like you cant even say that!

Congrats on the paper!

Congrats much on the paper. I have to present a paper this weekend at the National Undergrad Lit Conference. It's on the role of Rosaura in Calderón de la Barca's La vida es sueño. Fun times.

I'm not Queen of the Klutz People for nothing!

Wow! Impressive! Mine's not that big of a deal. I was just glad that it got me out of some work for one class -- I get a "free journal" for presenting.
