Mostly about Fantasy genre: Special emphasis on Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Deed of Paksennarion. Music, poetry and random ramblings. Actually, anything is up for grabs. Probably not politics, but everything else is fair game. Please ignore al

I'm so close, I can almost taste it. And yes, surprisingly, graduation tastes like chicken.

I have two papers to turn in -- a 10 pager on Harry Potter (see "of wizards and muggles") and five one-page responses and then... I'm finished. I will no longer be a college student, I will be a college alumna. I will also be officially accepted into graduate school. They've accepted me on the condition that I graduate... which I think is reasonable.

It's exciting and scary all at the same time. I've already started changing my status on things like Facebook and MySpace to "alumna" and adding my chosen graduate school. I've got an apartment and roommate lined up for June, and soon I'll register for classes.

I also need to find a job. As much as I wish I could go to school and be a professional student, I do need to eat and paying for my apartment is also important. I'm not sure what kind of job to look for though. I've got a college degree now, which means I could get better jobs -- but those often require more time than I'm willing to give to something outside of school. I'm crossing my fingers for a campus job.

Well, I'd better get back to work. I can't jump the gun too much, or I won't graduate and then what'll happen to my plans? *shudder* I don't want to think about that.

Ah, can't wait until I get to that position. I hate all of this writing...*sigh*...it never ends. I'm just glad most of my exams are multiple choice...besides calculus, everything is a bubblesheet.

I have to get up early and cram for chemistry tomorrow...and rinse and repeat for biology on Thursday...then I can step up to sophomore status. w00t!

Good luck with your papers, at least you have a fun topic to BS.

I just finished my eight pager on the poetic evolution of Pablo Neruda (in Spanish, of course). I've written about forty pages in the last week. Ugh.

Two more tests and I'm done until fall. Whew.

I had to write ten pages IN CLASS this morning. I hate those kinds of finals. The prof gave us 7 possible essay topics. We get there, and he has picked four of them for us to write on. We had to write on the first two, and then we got our pick of the last two. Three topics, ten pages and a hand cramp. At least it was open book / open note.

I'm being so bad right now. I only have two pages on my Harry Potter paper. I'm playing online instead of working. I'm such a slacker. But, way I see it, I'll probably have a B in that class, and nothing I do is going to make it better... so I'm not aiming too high.

Sophomore: Etymology: from Greek sophos wise + mOros foolish

So, sophomore means wise-fool.

And Hershey syrup floats my boat. Just so you know.

Ahh...etymology...heh, didn't think about that.

And Hershey syrup floats my boat. Just so you know.

That is delicious.

I blew a final in my interpersonal speech class...and quite possibly my 4.0 average along with it! Which is bad since I'm wanting to head on to law school after my bachelor's...yet, surprisingly, I'm OK with it. I still have an outside shot at an "A", and a "B" won't kill me.

But I know what you mean...I am looking forward to getting some rest.
