I had a second interview today and I was told that I would hear about the job by the end of the day. End of the day comes, and they haven't made up their minds yet! I mean, come on! It's a freaking secretary position! It's not like I'm running the department or anything!

Okay, got that out of my system. Apparently, I'm still in their top whatever, and I should know within a few days.

So, if you don't mind stepping up the animal sacrifices to bigger animals, I would appreciate it.

They're probably just trying to find your blog, so they can read what you wrote about them and make a decision based on that.

This, to me, sounds like par for the course. Just about every job I've ever gone for has said something like "We'll get back to you once we've made a decision" and for the most, I never heard anything again.

Good luck with it, though. I do hope you get the call.

Jythier ~ fortunately for me, they have no way of finding my blog. I've kept it secret for a reason. I've also made sure that they cannot view my Facebook or Myspace pages.

dynamaso ~ I know, and this is what I expected, but it still frustrates me. Thanks for the luck though. I appreciate it.

JU is public, and reading your past stuff, they could narrow it down.  However, as long as you do not put too much personal stuff in there, it will be hard.  Just avoid any questions about your new place.

Yes, but JU isn't exactly well known, is it? It's not like xanga or livejournal that most people would check. They'd have to search all the blog sites to find me. Added bonus: they don't know me well enough to realize this blog was by me, even if I sent them every article I've written in the past. I don't know if some of my own friends would realize it, and my brother certainly didn't until I told him.

And, since it isn't written under my name, you can't google me and find it. You'd have to know where I was blogging (which none of my friends do) or what my screen name is (which none of my friends do).

Besides, if they want to read about how I'm a big nerd... well, I'm sure they'll find that out soon enough if they hire me.
