As I was walking home from Walgreens today, I saw my friend John sitting outside his apartment. I stopped to chat, and he told me that there was a kitten around his house. We thought we had seen one a few nights ago, but then we thought it was a neighbor cat. Turns out, it was a kitten and she was, at that moment hiding in a tree. I heard her meow, and saw a ball of white in the tree. We got her out of there, fed her tuna and milk, gave her a bath, some Frontline, and got her home. Of course, she escaped into John's car at one point, and it took forever to get her out. I won't give you the details, but I will say that we had to use a lightsaber.
Now, because of the fleas, she's living in my bathroom. My roommate's cat has hissed at her, but did not attack, so I took that as a good sign. We gave her flea medicine and worm medicine. We're going to take her to the vet tomorrow.
John and I named her Rowan. It suits her perfectly. I think John loves her more than I do, but he's allergic to cats, so she has to live with me. What a day!
